My practice-based research is reflective and qualitative, focusing on experiment mother-daughter relationships in matrilineal family domination under the Chinese patriarchal society and exploring trauma of the empowerment and victimisation.

My works mainly discuss the issues of Chinese feminism, especially the post-modern feminist theory, and narrate the traumas brought to women by body, family and society. These thoughts are reflected in her practice, and her works often take some representative female body parts under the gaze of men, such as chest, thigh, buttocks, etc., as the main research materials. my works aim to liberate Chinese women from outdated gender concepts, make the society, especially the Chinese society, pay attention to women's rights, so as to find the breakthrough needed by Chinese feminism.
